Todd has been the President and now owner of Otter Creek for over 20 years. During this time he has grown Otter Creek’s impeccable reputation as a premier awning company. Todd continues to work closely with clients and currently serves as President of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont.
Owner, Public Relations
Elizabeth has been with Otter Creek Awnings for over 20 years; first as a sales and design professional, and presently helping in many capacities including marketing and sales training. She also works in the community on behalf of Otter Creek, serving on the Board for the Cancer Patient Support Foundation and chairing their signature event, The Culinary Classic. Elizabeth supports many local business organizations including the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Burlington Business Association, and the Homebuilders and Remodelers Associations of Northern Vermont. Be sure to stop her to say hello at the next business function!
Rene is America’s awning superhero: he reached his 35th year anniversary with the company this past summer and as a result of his background, no one knows the awning world better than Rene. As Vice President of Otter Creek, Rene oversees operations and installations. If something needs to get done, Rene is the guy to ask.
Office Manager & Customer Support
Jennifer is everyone’s favorite at Otter Creek Awnings, among both customers and staff. As Office and Showroom Manager, she is on the front lines of customer service at all times and somehow manages to find the time for her duties in Human Resources, as well. Otter Creek customers appreciate Jennifer’s warmth and personal attention, while staffers love her for her supportive nature and sunny personality. If you’ve ever visited the showroom or called us up on the phone, chances are that you know firsthand why Jennifer is our shining jewel.
Brenna Heverly Coulson
Director of Customer Satisfaction
Brenna is a native Vermonter and a key part of the Otter Creak team. She loves the outdoors and her fun spirit and dedication to 100% customer satisfaction is apparent when you meet her. A graduate of Johnson State College, her attention to detail and hospitality will make you feel welcome the moment you step into our showroom.
As our Marketing Manager Cheryl has the fun responsibility of coordinating the marketing efforts at Otter Creek. She has an extensive background in marketing, sales and management, is a volunteer with Lyric Theatre Company, and is an active committee member for the Burlington Business Association. Cheryl will always welcome you with a smile and a helpful attitude.
Awning Sales & Design Manager
Kristopher is a native Vermonter from a family with a long history in Vermont. His background and experience in the building, solar and outdoor equipment industry, is an added bonus for Otter Creek. Kristopher has an easy-going personality which, coupled with his professionalism, are sure to put customers at ease.
Awning Sales & Design
Candace has worked with homeowners, builders and architects in the home improvement industry for almost 10 years. She brings to this position a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience from an ever-growing industry. A graduate of UVM with a degree in business, she is always ready to help with a solution.
Awning Sales & Design
Matt is another member of our amazing sales & design team. He has 20 years of sales experience. In the past he has worked with the Fleischer Jacobs Group. Previously, he was in federal contracting at Fedmarket.com. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to the sales and design position at Otter Creek, along with his enthusiasm for enjoying the best of the outdoors.
Awning Sales & Design
Peter has a strong knowledge of the building industry and has an eye for design. He is the creator of the mobile bar that he personally designed from an old shipping container. Peter will greet you with a friendly hand-shake and smile. He will share his knowledge and creativity along with his enthusiasm for the Outdoor Living category. If you have the opportunity to work with Peter you will appreciate his “can do creative” attitude and attention to detail.
Awning Crew Leader
Adam is one of our famous awning installation crew leaders. Adam drives one of our shiny red trucks, and will always give you a friendly wave. We’ve found that often times a neighbor will notice our truck in their neighborhood and stop to chat with Adam, inquiring about awnings or asking for advice. We’re delighted that folks find our team members approachable, friendly and knowledgeable, even in an impromptu conversation on the sidewalk.
Awning Crew Leader
Ben has worked his way up through our company to be one of our Lead Installers. He is a great leader and very knowledgeable in installation techniques and best building practices. If you see Ben on your jobsite, you’ll know the work is being done by a professional.
Jarad joined the installation team and has experience building from designs with accuracy, precision and quick to respond with an outgoing personality. A dedicated worker Jarad is ready to construct the awning, canopy or shade structure to every customer’s satisfaction. Jarad not only builds shading solutions but great customer relationships as well.

We have seasonal workers that help out perhaps for one season or more. While we have a great team of dedicated full time workers we also have the best seasonal workers as well. Every year we get a great group of guys who come and work hard at installing during the rain, sleet, sun and yes sometimes snow. We are extremely lucky to have Logan, Aaron, Dustin, Patrick, Ryan, Dylan, Dom, Eddie and others join our team for the summer!

OTTER CREEK AWNINGS has an excellent opportunity for two seasonal awning installers. These entry-level position will assist the lead installer from April through October.
Ability to do physical work for a full eight-to-ten-hour work day
Able to lift at least fifty pounds (50) repeatedly during the work day
Able to be at work by 7:00 A.M
Some knowledge of hand tools required. Training provided on the job. College students are encouraged to apply. As an Awning Sales and Design Representative, you will provide solutions to residential and commercial customers within a given territory. A positive fun attitude and energy to succeed is a must. You will be involved in a comprehensive training to know all about our products from design to installation.
Our ideal candidate will have a successful sale track record, great customer service and communication skills. This individual will need to be self-motivated and possess a willingness to learn in order to be successful. Previous customer service, sales, construction or design experience is desirable. Comprehensive product training provided.
